Day 2 - Los Angeles

We spent the day seeing LA today - busy busy busy and filled with people. At the end of the day, people made me nauseous! We took a tour around LA seeing all the touristy things. There is no way you could do this on your own!

We me the tour in Santa Monica so we got to see that in the morning. They took us to Venice Beach and we got to walk around there. Super quiet in the morning, I can't even imagine what it was like later in the day. We drove through Beverly Hills area and showed us a few houses: Former Spelling Property, Hugh Hefner Place, the Griswalds house, Ellen's old house. We got to walk down Rodeo drive which was cool - expensive. Some stores charge you an appointment fee to just walk in the store. Went to the Griffin Observatory and got some good views of the city and Hollywood sign. Lastly, we walked around the Walk of Fame - way too many people. Its on the busiest street ever and its a complete tourist trap. You can't even see some of the stars because of the people. Cool to see but way too busy. Tour ended at 5:30pm then we headed to the Dodgers Game!

Dodgers Stadium was old but not that bad. Once you got out of the concourse it was really nice. The seats were nice and big which is a change. We were so tired by this point it was nice to sit down and watch the game. This stadium had a 'buzz' to it - it was noisy with people talking. Most were not watching the game. It was a little overwhelming because we had been around people all day. They had fireworks at the end of the game but we could not stay we were too tired. And the thought of having to sit in more traffic to leave the one huge general admission parking lot made us nauseous. Our sleep was more important at this point :) Dodgers lost 2-1 to the NY Mets.

Distance Walked: 13.75 miles
Kevin and I average our miles/steps between our phones.

Muscle Beach - the only use this now for competitions. There is a big competition on July 4th here.
Beverly Hills Sign
Start of Rodeo Drive
 Gates to Paramount Pictures.
Hollywood Sign! It was just painted last year so our tour guide said it was still pretty white.

 She is a legend here.
 Dodgers Stadium
We had a beautiful sunset with the clouds.
Look who it is! Michael Cuddyer!!! He pinch batted and stuck out on 3 pitches - jeez.
